Accessibility Statement

Last updated: [Date]

Our commitment

[Store Name] wants everyone to be able to shop with us, including people with disabilities. We are working to make our website easy to use, easy to understand, and compatible with assistive technology.

Standard we follow

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, the widely recognized standard for web accessibility. [Update to 2.2 if that is your target.]

This is an ongoing effort. We have not yet reached full conformance on every page, and we are working to improve.

What we are doing

  • Designing pages with a clear structure, headings, and navigation
  • Providing text alternatives (alt text) for product and content images
  • Using sufficient color contrast between text and backgrounds
  • Making the site usable with a keyboard alone
  • Making forms, buttons, and links clearly labeled
  • Supporting screen readers such as VoiceOver, TalkBack, NVDA, and JAWS
  • Letting pages resize and adapt to mobile, tablet, and desktop screens
  • Testing new pages and features for accessibility before release
  • Training our team on accessible design and content

(Keep only what you actually do. Delete any item that isn't true yet.)

Compatibility

Our site is designed to work with recent versions of these browsers and assistive technologies:

  • Browsers: Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge
  • Screen readers: VoiceOver (iOS and macOS), TalkBack (Android), NVDA, JAWS
  • Other tools: browser zoom, text resizing, voice control, and keyboard navigation

Known limitations

Despite our efforts, some parts of the site may not be fully accessible yet:

  • Seller content: products are listed by independent sellers. Some product photos, descriptions, or documents may lack alt text, clear descriptions, or accessible formatting. We are working with sellers to improve this.
  • Third-party tools: features provided by other companies, such as payment providers, chat widgets, reviews, or embedded videos, may not meet every standard. We ask these providers to improve and look for better options where possible.
  • Older content: some older pages, images, or files may not yet be updated.
  • Videos: some videos may lack captions or transcripts. [Delete if not applicable.]

If you find a problem, please tell us (see below).
